Founder of BerMuzik
William is the founder, music instructor, and team building facilitator at BerMuzik.
William has been teaching the guitar (Classical and Acoustic) for the past 9 years and counting. He specialises in beginner music education and corporate team building through music and play. His teaching resolves around the principal of Sound over Symbol and hybrid musical learning.
Prior to starting up BerMuzik, William worked as a peripatetic guitar teacher and was affiliated with established music schools in Malaysia such as Music Walk, Music Bliss, and Akademi Muzik Progresif (Yamaha). He was also Teacher of Music for individuals with special needs at Adapt Enrichment Centre with experiences in working with children and young adults with Down’s Syndrome, ASD, and dyslexia.
Besides being a passionate music educator, William is also an Ultimate Frisbee enthusiast. He was the founder and coach of U8 SOAR Ultimate Frisbee Club. During his term as the president of U8 SOAR, the team managed to emerge as the youngest, most competitive, and best spirited team in Malaysia. Many of its senior players are currently national Ultimate Frisbee athletes representing the country in various international tournaments.
William holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from Sunway-Lancaster University and an MA in Psychology of Music from The University of Sheffield. He is also a member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians (ISM).
Project Director (Malaysia)
Jowyn completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology with first class from Lancaster University. She then worked as a Fashion Trainer for renowned high street and luxury fashion brands such as Topshop, Dorothy Perkins, BCBGMAXAZRIA, and Ben Sherman. As a Fashion Trainer, Jowyn travelled across Malaysia to maintain store standards and had conducted trainings targeted to improve employees’ product knowledge and overall customer service. Within months, she successfully innovated new training activities and materials which significantly improved participants’ textile knowledge and assessment scores.
She went on to pursue her Masters in Fashion Marketing in Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh and graduated with a Distinction. She was also a recipient of the George Davis Student Prize for her outstanding performance. As a marketer in the beauty and skincare industry, she specialises in customer patterns and behaviour analytics for branding and marketing purposes. She has been organising numerous workshops and major events as well as liaising and collaborating with external parties to expand the niche customer database. Jowyn is also actively involved in various community projects with past projects including Counselling Campaign: Drugs – the Ugly Truth, 12th Caring Week, Kairos Fund Raising Dinner, AmWay One-to-One Children’s Camp, and Junior Jaycees Training Camp.
As Project Director of BerMuzik (Malaysia), Jowyn is responsible in identifying and facilitating opportunities to expand BerMuzik’s services across Malaysia. In view of her academic background and work experience, she is uniquely valuable to BerMuzik in her ability to understand, devise, and manage strategies to meet clients’ needs.

Jun comes from a family who are actively involved in arts and education. Both her parents are educators, prominent theatre performers, and directors of Malaysia’s Chinese theatre industry. Their work has inspired Jun deeply and through her parent’s encouragement, Jun has been actively developing her artistic side by participating in various music competitions and performances.
Although music and arts have always been a part of her, Jun constantly seeks for ways that could inspire the lives of others. Whilst completing her undergraduate degree, Jun was actively involved with the university’s choir and ensemble. She was one of the founding members of the club of which today has achieved tremendous success nationally. As a psychology graduate of Lancaster University, she uses her knowledge and experience in eclectic therapy to improve individuals’ mental wellbeing. She worked with Oikos Counselling for over a year and it was there her interest for Sandplay Therapy and Expressive Art Therapy was sparked. Jun is currently completing her Masters in Counselling at the University of Malaya where she focuses on exposing herself to more new knowledge and people. Despite her busy schedule, Jun is still actively performing as a vocalist and involved in numerous stage productions nationally. She firmly believes that “It is your past experience that shapes who you are today” and that music making has the power to make a positive impact to the future of the self, others, and potentially, the world
Jun holds the position as Project Director of BerMuzik (Malaysia) along with Jowyn where they share their expertise in building an understanding with the clients. With her first hand experience in the music and art industry, Jun plays a pivotal role in the research and development side of the programmes.
